It was the perfect day for Santa Claus to come to town.
Ottawa’s first significant snowfall of season dusted the thousands of people lined up along Bank Street, from Wellington to Laurier, to watch Saint Nicholas and his extensive entourage parade down the street. Police officers, fire fighters, city officials, dogs, horses, kings, elves and even Darth Vader were among the many helping Santa collect toys.
Every year, Ottawa Fire Services organizes the parade to collect gifts for underprivileged children.
